Offset Rear Pod for Brushless Motors

Now Gen-X drivers running brushless systems can get the weight centered in the rear pod by using this offset pod setup. This setup moves the motor plate .15 further to the right, getting the weight of the bigger, heavier brushless motor back to the center of the car. We were able to accomplish this by narrowing the diff hub by the same .15 that the motor plate was offset. Not to worry though, as you can see in the pic below, the bearing spacing on the new hub has kept the same dimensions as the old stock hub so you will not need any extra hardware or have to worry about extra wear on the hub bearings.

TIPS:

1.First one is for 3heat brian. We race a total of 5 races on race day. J.K.
2.Drive your rc car with your eyes and fingers. Don't physically use your radio as a steering wheel.

(Might look goofy and your car will just keep banging the wall.)

Here's how to prepare the Ultimate rear pan car diff for assembly.

BEFORE ASSEMBLY COMPLETELY CLEAN ALL SURFACES THAT COME IN CONTACT WITH THE O-RINGS. USE MOTOR SPRAY ON THE METAL PARTS, PAYING CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE O-RING GROOVES. USE A PAPER TOWEL OR Q-TIP TO RUB OUT ANY DIRT OR GREASE IN THE O-RING GROOVE. CLEAN THE O-RINGS WITH CLEAR ALCOHOL OR WARM WATER. (SOME MOTOR SPRAYS CAN ATTACK THE O-RING MATERIAL). USE 600 GRIT SAND PAPER TO SCUFF THE DIFF RING SURFACE. THIS CREATES MORE DRAG AGAINST THE O-RING.

DURING ASSEMBLY THE ONLY PLACE DIFF LUBE IS REQUIRED IS A MINIMAL AMOUNT ON THE DIFF BALLS ONLY. ASSEMBLE PER DIAGRAM AND SET DIFF ACTION TO YOUR PREFERENCE. IF AFTER ASSEMBLY THE DIFF RINGS SLIP, REPEAT THE CLEANING PROCESS.

DIFF BALL ENCLOSUREMENT

Here's a cheap way to make a case for your balls.(DIFF BALLS) I know I am always losing mine.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
-Scissors
-Fuel Line
-2 screws of your choice
-Screwdriver of your choice

Take the fuel line and cut to your desired choice for the amount of diff balls you have. NEXT put a screw in one end of the fuel line.

Then insert your diff balls into the fuel line. The screw will act as a lid. FINALLY put a screw on the other end. And there is a cheap

diff ball case. Hopefully you won't lose your balls anymore!

TIP#2

For cleaning the scuff marks off your race car body, go to the grocery store and by a box of Mr clean "Magic Eraser"

For cleaning the scuff marks off your friend's race car body, use 80 grit sand paper.

TIP#3 (FOR RACERS WITH THE GEN. X CAR.)

What you will need.

-shoo goo

-dremel with cutting bit or a good cutting tool

Tip for the battery braces on the generation x.

First NEVER use the nuts that come with the car to hold the screws in place. INSTEAD:

Install the screws as normal then carefully place your batteries in the chassis. You will see how close the tip of the screws will come to

touching your battery bars. CAREFULL NOT TO LET THEM TOUCH THE BATTERIES.

You will want to cut the screws that hold the 2 ABS BATTERY BRACES on to the chassis. The reason is so the tips of the screws don't

touch your battery bars and short your expensive battery packs. (Thanks KEITH S. for saving my tail at the 2006 degleman race.)

Otherwise your electric rc car will turn into a nitro smoking car. Looks cool but sucks when it blows up.

Once the screws are cut either flush with the battery braces or a little above the braces. Take some SHOO GOO to be safe and hold the

screws in and place it on top of the screws you cut. That's it. NO MORE SMOKE OR FIRE.

TIP #4 (To all the racers.)

There is a man who goes by the name fire starter(Brian) we knew him many moons ago. He is the man to thank for

creating fire!! If you ever see this man: DO NOT let him charge batteries, touch batteries, plug batteries into a rc car

and DEFINETELY DO NOT let him put them in a battery storage case! (Just don't let him have any batteries.) Brian

created what is known today as the white flame(the hottest flame of flames) WE HOPE TO SEE BRIAN THIS

WINTER FOR CARPET SEASON and have him shed some light on battery care to all of us.
